Pauline has a smallholding and her own personal nature reserve and is on constant watch for wildlife.

Hello, here's this month's crop of photographs to record the beauty of our treasured plot and surrounding countryside.
Welcome to Thistledown Meadows.

A male orange tip butterfly on bluebells. Greater Crested Newt. Protected species and illegal to handle them unless they are in danger. We had to rescue this one, it had been washed onto the footpath by floodwater.
1...2...3...Wheeeee! We've been practising. Baby field voles... aren't they beautiful? "Well Hello, my name's Beth".
Female 'broad bodied chaser'. The swallows renovated last year's nest in the donkey stable. Rattie enjoying a feast of wild bird seed.
"I want my mommy". A little, lost moorhen chick. (Don't worry she was re-united with mum). Oh dear Lucy, are you having a bad hair day? A beautiful demoiselle. Very prolific at "Thistledown Meadows".
