Upton Snodsbury Park
The park has a children’s play area, a petanque court, a five-aside football area, three bicycle humps, a shelter, benches, picnic tables, paths and a small car park. There is also a wild area which may be turned into an environmental area eventually, but is currently very popular and being used for den building and other non-organised play.

Our park was opened in August 2007 and has proved very popular.

The park is the result of four and a half years hard work by a small group of people from the parish (click here to learn more) and a very generous grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

It is run by the small charity USPRA (Upton Snodsbury Parish Recreational Association, charity number 1112077), which was set up to implement and run the park.  Our constitutional objectives are: “The objects of USPRA are to provide a recreation ground and recreational facilities for the benefit of the community of the Parish of Upton Snodsbury in Worcestershire, and persons who by reason of youth, age, infirmity, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances have special need of such facilities, with a view to improving their conditions of life, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions.”  The full constitution can be read Here.

As well as the on-going inspections and maintenance, equipment requirements and grass-cutting, fund raising is also needed to pay the huge annual insurance.  We are lucky to have the support of local people and companies and always welcome additional sponsors for our charity.
